Where the coaching jobs are
European roles on the TNA board are currently in United Kingdom, Turkey, Germany and Malta: head-coach positions at clubs and resorts, academy coaches and specialist roles such as athletic-performance coaches.
Pay and packages
Monthly pay on the 7 live roles runs from about $2,000 to $6,000 (converted to USD). Resort and club roles — particularly in Turkey and Cyprus — often bundle accommodation, meals and flights into the package, so compare the full package, not just the salary.
Work permits in Europe
EU and EEA citizens can work anywhere in the EU without a permit. Coaches from outside the EU need a work and residence permit for the specific country, normally applied for with the employer’s support, and the rules differ from country to country.
- Turkey runs its own system: the employer applies for your work permit.
- United Kingdom: unless you are a UK or Irish citizen or already have the right to work there, you will usually need a visa sponsored by a licensed employer.
What European employers look for
- A national federation or ITF-recognised coaching qualification (RPT, PTR and LTA levels are common)
- English plus the local language — a real advantage for club roles
- For head-coach roles, programme management: squads, leagues, camps and parent communication
- For resort roles, flexibility and the ability to coach every age and level
